Collin
We were very happy to hear such great music making.
Ensembles really need to watch conductors, some guitarists did not pay enough attention to the conducting.
Some lovely vibrato, lovely arrangements.

Eddy
We want to acknowledge your hard work, all the parents, teachers and performers.
Good variety of repertoire.
Players, actively listen to the ensemble, know your role, be it melody or accompaniment. Feel the music. Sing melodies in your head, so that you can sense the shaping of the music. Know the larger sections of the piece. Not just your own part.
Want to see enjoyment of music. Enhance music appreciation. Enjoy the process in preparation.

Sylvia
I feel proud if the SYF scene and it’s wonderful ensembles. Rich experience. I applaud the SYF. Focus on balance and blend. Be aware of where you are in the music. Think of 3 key dimensions, melody, chord & harmony. Need for tight playing. There were pockets of nice parts, need to maintain consistently of performance. Most groups have a good piece but an average other piece. Selection of repertoire to the strength of the ensemble is very important.

Helmut
A competition gives benefit to everyone who participates, do not be discouraged if you did not get the mark that you wanted. Think about the experience in the music that you received. I encourage you to try more music. I appreciate the passion and ernest, but you could enjoy the music a little more.

Strange
Wonder of enjoyment in playing music. We invest a lot of time in preparing for the performance. So many of you are contributing to the music. It’s been a remarkable morning. Congratulations. Bravo.
